the Iron Maiden

My usual thing lately for night shoots has been to use two videolights. I recently acquired a Phottix Indra 500 strobe, specifically to use for shooting in harsh daylight conditions. I figured I’d give it a test for night work as well. Well – it works. The major negative to it is the LED modeling light is pretty much useless. It’s just far too dim to really make an impact in low light focusing – at least specifically when using the 27.5″ Luna beauty dish with the diffuser on it. In retrospect maybe using it without the diffuser would have been a better option.
